Claim: -women cannot excel in sports like men because of their physical
body strength.
Support: -women were warned by active physicians not to engage in
exercise.
-men have been actively exercising and engaging in sports for as
long as men existed.
Warrants: -men have physically stronger bodies.
-women bodies are said to not be fit for sports.
-men had almost a three hundred year head start in sports.
Exigence: -women are starting to catch up in sports such as the increasing
time in the marathon which is ten minutes behind the men.
Summary:
The women vs. men argument in sports is still going on. Women are said to not to be physically fit for sports. Physicians have informed women that they should not engage in any type of exercise. As this argument goes on women are slowly but surly gaining ground on men in sports. Evidence would be the women’s time in the marathon, which is now ten minutes behind the men and is slowly closing. Women are also starting to participate in sports that are said to be made for men only. Such sports are ice hockey, basketball, and boxing. Women just need more time to practice and exercise at these sports.
